Major Ubisoft News Could Be Imminent After Last-Minute Change

Ubisoft has unexpectedly postponed its first-half earnings report for fiscal year 2025-26 and requested that Euronext halt trading of its shares and bonds until the results are published “in the coming days.”

In a sudden November 13 press release, Ubisoft said it needs more time to finalize the financial close for the semester. Trading of Ubisoft securities will remain paused until the updated earnings are released.

Analyst Daniel Ahmad noted on X that this kind of delay could hint at “a major announcement” coming soon, though nothing is confirmed.

According to Insider Gaming, CFO Frederick Duguet told employees the delay was meant to “limit unnecessary speculation,” but could not share further details due to legal restrictions.

The timing raises questions, as Ubisoft is already facing internal upheaval: longtime Assassin’s Creed creative lead Marc-Alexis Côté left in October, a Civil War–themed Assassin’s Creed project was reportedly canceled, and backlash surrounding AC Shadows' protagonist Yasuke contributed to earlier delays. Ubisoft’s revenue has also been trending downward throughout 2025.
