If you’re shopping for a versatile wireless headset for your gaming console, handheld, or PC, one of the best all-rounders on the market is currently discounted. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 is available for $180 (down from $200) at Amazon for a limited time.
Released in October, the Nova 7 Gen 2 refreshes one of SteelSeries’ most popular wireless headsets, offering broader compatibility, improved battery life, and new mobile features. Buyers can choose between the Nova 7X (Xbox), Nova 7P (PlayStation), or Nova 7 (PC), each available in black, white, or magenta.

The Nova 7X is the most universal option, supporting Xbox, PlayStation, PC, Switch, mobile, and handhelds via its USB-C wireless dongle and Bluetooth. The Nova 7P and Nova 7 models work on every platform except Xbox consoles. If you primarily game on PS5 or PC, either of those versions will work perfectly.
When it first launched in 2022, the Arctis Nova 7 stood out for its balance of price, audio quality, and comfort—and the Gen 2 model improves on that formula. Battery life has jumped by roughly 40%, now exceeding 50 hours per charge, and SteelSeries has added support for the Arctis Companion App.

The free iOS and Android app lets you tweak EQ settings and swap between more than 200 custom sound profiles tuned for specific games. Bluetooth presets like Bass Boost and Focus also make the headset more versatile for music and podcasts on the go. While the original Nova 7 already worked with the SteelSeries GG desktop app, the mobile Companion App makes on-the-fly adjustments far more convenient.
Comfort remains one of the Nova 7’s biggest strengths. The lightweight steel frame, elastic suspension headband, and plush memory foam ear cushions make it easy to wear for long sessions. Audio is handled by custom 40mm neodymium drivers, delivering rich, detailed sound that becomes even more dynamic with SteelSeries’ custom presets. The retractable boom microphone features AI noise reduction to cut out background sounds like keyboard taps and controller clicks.
The Nova 7 Gen 2 supports 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired 3.5mm connections, with the added bonus of simultaneous wireless and Bluetooth audio—letting you hear game audio and a phone call at the same time.

For shoppers who want something even more premium, SteelSeries’ lineup also includes the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, currently discounted to $300 (was $380). It adds active noise cancellation, leatherette earcups, parametric EQ, and a base station with an OLED display. There’s also a wired Nova Pro with a GameDAC for higher-fidelity audio, and the ultra-premium Nova Elite Wireless, which supports 96kHz/24-bit audio and advanced ANC—but at a much higher price point.
For most players, however, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 remains the sweet spot. With excellent comfort, long battery life, flexible connectivity, and strong audio performance, it continues to be one of the best wireless gaming headsets you can buy for $200 or less.
