You Can't Pause The Call Of Duty: Black Ops 7 Campaign, So You Better Hold It In

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has officially launched, and while it maintains the series’ trademark fast-paced action in its single-player campaign, it also brings one major change: you can’t pause the game.
The always-online requirement means the campaign continues running even if you need to step away, so players must find a safe place during missions before taking a break. Otherwise, enemies can easily take you down. Fortunately, the game’s checkpoints are generous, minimizing frustration when returning after a death.
“I never found myself having to replay too much of a mission if I had to take a break midway through or I reached a challenging section where I died a lot,” Summer Doster noted in GameSpot’s Black Ops 7 campaign review.
Another topic of discussion among players involves changes to the aim-assist system. Many feel that aim assist has been tuned differently compared to the beta, leading to mixed reactions. Some believe the adjustments improve gameplay balance, while others are requesting further tweaks.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is now available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. If you're jumping in, you can get a closer look at what’s included in multiplayer at launch, how progression works in Season 1, and details about the campaign endgame.
