PUBG MOBILE: Meet the Creators Driving the Next Generation of Play

Published: 25/12/2025

Article

Beyond the massive stage, nail-biting in-game standoffs, and hard-earned Winner Winner Chicken Dinners at PUBG United 2025 in Bangkok, fans were reminded that PUBG MOBILE is more than a battle royale game. It is a creative platform where players, artists, and designers can turn ideas into playable experiences, contribute to a global creative ecosystem, and earn recognition and real rewards for their work.

PUBG MOBILE World of Wonder and PDP creators

For aspiring creators, World of Wonder (WOW) and the Ptopia Design Project (PDP) function as launchpads for imagination and ambition. During the PUBG MOBILE Global Championships in Bangkok, 16 outstanding creators from around the world were honoured at the PUBG MOBILE Creative Vision Awards 2025. These awards celebrated exceptional contributions across WOW, PUBG MOBILE’s in-game user-generated content platform, and PDP, the game’s global design contest initiative.

With incentives such as WOW’s multi-million-dollar prize pools, extensive PDP contests, modern creator tools, and a highly supportive global community, PUBG MOBILE has lowered the barrier between having an idea and bringing it to life. For many creators, the journey begins with a single experiment.

WOW creator gameplay design

WOW has grown into a massive ecosystem, with millions of maps created and millions of players engaging daily. Yet every creator starts small. For Kuwait-based creator ناايل؟, winner of Creator of the Year for Best Story, curiosity was the initial spark. Inspired by personal experiences, local culture, and everyday surroundings, he found that WOW’s tools allowed him to transform complex ideas into clear, playable systems without prior coding knowledge.

By focusing on simplicity and clarity in design, his work resonated strongly with players. He explains that seeing people enjoy his creations made him realise his creative potential and motivated him to pursue creation at a more professional level. His advice to newcomers is straightforward: start simple, explore the tools, build gradually, and learn through experimentation and mistakes.

Creator CaiCai scene design

Creative freedom is a recurring theme among award-winning creators. For Australian creator CaiCai, winner of Creator of the Year for Best Scene Design, the motivation came from wanting to design fun challenges for friends—experiences where players could try, fail, and laugh together. Although his background in design and architecture helped, it was WOW’s visual programming, AI assistance, and flexible logic systems that truly empowered him.

According to CaiCai, these tools remove traditional technical barriers and dramatically expand creative possibilities. Egyptian creator Y O Y O, winner of Creator of the Year for Best Stage Design, shares a similar view, highlighting how visual systems allow instant iteration without the complexity of writing code. This immediacy enables creators to build experiences that closely match their original vision.

For MURSHAD, winner of Creator of the Year for Best Creative Gameplay, WOW’s accessibility is key. Visual programming and AI support allow ordinary players to design complex mechanics intuitively, turning imagination into fully playable worlds. Meanwhile, NexusSPIKE, winner of the Popular Creator Award for Arena-themed maps, stresses patience and originality, advising new creators to invest time in learning rather than copying existing maps for short-term attention.

PDP outfit design by Ariestrada

While WOW focuses on gameplay experiences, PDP empowers artists and designers to shape PUBG MOBILE’s visual identity through outfit, weapon, and vehicle designs. With numerous contests, a substantial prize pool, and hundreds of winners each year, PDP offers opportunities for both professional designers and passionate amateurs.

For Bali-based designer Ariestrada, winner of the Best Outfit Design Silver Award, success comes from blending external fashion trends with unique concepts tailored to PUBG MOBILE’s aesthetic. His deep familiarity with the game and its competitive scene helps him understand what players want, while elements of his local culture add originality. He notes that sleek, fast-feeling designs consistently resonate with players.

A defining strength of both WOW and PDP is their focus on long-term creator support. Financial incentives, global exposure, and community recognition reinforce the value of creative work. Creators consistently highlight how rewards and visibility motivate them to improve, push boundaries, and treat creation not just as a hobby, but as a potential professional path.

As the Creative Vision Awards winners look ahead, ambition remains high. CaiCai aims to become a more well-rounded designer by experimenting with deeper mechanics and dynamic systems. ناايل؟ plans to explore experimental gameplay ideas that push WOW’s tools to their limits. Ariestrada hopes to continue developing anime-inspired designs with a distinctive personal twist.

PDP creator Mranderson, winner of the Best Creative Silver Award, offers encouragement to anyone considering joining the program. Starting as a traditional illustrator, he found a way to merge art with interactive gaming, eventually seeing his designs enjoyed by millions of players worldwide. For him, participating in PDP fulfilled a lifelong dream of wearing his own creations inside one of the world’s leading tactical battle royale games.

His message to aspiring creators is simple: take the leap. With dedication, consistency, and creativity, PUBG MOBILE’s creative platforms offer not just tools, but a global stage where imagination can grow, be recognised, and thrive.
