Amazon currently has a limited-time Lightning Deal on Goliath’s officially licensed adaptation of The Sims. Originally $23, the Sims Board Game is marked down to $16.19 for a short window and limited quantity. It’s a budget-friendly strategy game ideal for fans of Maxis and EA’s life-sim series, designed for 2–5 players ages 12 and up.

The Sims Board Game sold out quickly when it first released in August; with Amazon’s early Black Friday deals running, this is the best price we’ve seen so far and it may not last through the weekend.

Though not a beat-for-beat translation of the video games, The Sims Board Game captures the franchise’s visual style and life-sim mechanics. Players pick personalities and goals, move around a neighborhood-like board, react to drawn life-event cards, and collect "SIMbols" — trying to be the first to match enough SIMbols to their chosen life goal.

If Amazon runs out, Target is also carrying the deal, but the offer is scheduled to end Saturday, November 15.
