Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault – How to Expand Your Inventory

Published: 25/11/2025

Article

Inventory space plays a crucial role in Moonlighter 2 . The more relics you can safely carry back to town, the more items you’ll be able to sell in your shop—and that directly translates into higher profits. However, expanding your inventory isn’t automatic and requires interacting with a specific NPC during your dungeon runs.

How to Expand Your Inventory Space in Moonlighter 2

To unlock additional inventory slots, you’ll need to meet Sliver, an NPC who eventually sets up shop in the western area of town. While Sliver becomes a permanent vendor later, he won’t appear in town until you first encounter him during a dungeon run.

Sliver can be found in Kalina, the game’s first dungeon area. During a run, keep an eye out for rooms marked with a “?” icon. These rooms randomly spawn special characters, and Sliver is one of the possible encounters. While he isn’t guaranteed to appear every time, there are only a limited number of NPCs that can spawn, so repeated runs will eventually trigger the meeting.

After you’ve encountered Sliver in Kalina, he will relocate to town permanently. From there, you’ll be able to purchase additional inventory slots. The first upgrade costs 4,000 gold, the second costs 8,000 gold, and prices continue to rise with each expansion.

A second inventory row also becomes available later, though unlocking it requires crafting materials that are not currently accessible in the early access version at the time of writing. Even so, the initial upgrades alone make a noticeable difference in how long you can stay in dungeons before heading back.

To further improve your survivability and efficiency during runs, you’ll also want to look into unlocking additional potion capacity , which pairs well with a larger inventory.
